The speaker

Venla Kallio is passionate about inclusive communication.

Venla Kallio is a language professional based in Tampere whose services include translation, proofreading, subtitling, Easy Finnish and inclusive language. Venla has worked as a linguist since 2015, and in 2020 founded her one-person company, Merkurius Translations. Venla also spoke about plain language at the Terässä event in 2024. She is passionate about inclusive communication and about creating truly idiomatic translations.


